What Is Your REASON? 🤔🔥
Warrior,
Your life’s purpose…
…may be to discover your life’s purpose.

And that’s not as easy as it sounds. 😅
Because once you find what you were born to do, I’ve discovered the next step is even harder:
You’ve got to have the courage to actually live it. 💪
For years, I knew my answer—but still caught myself drifting.
Off-purpose.
Off-track. 🚫
Until I finally recognized the pattern.
Every time I felt most alive, I was coaching. 🏃♂️📣
Didn’t matter if it was youth, high school, college, or pros.
My “zone” wasn’t a physical place.
It was a state—a state of coaching others.
I discovered my greatest talent wasn’t just motivating people…
…it was motivating them until they discovered their greatest talent. 🎯✨
My Reason? Coaching. 🏆
That’s why—for the tenth year in a row—I’m back coaching on the high school track. 🛤️
Every year I try to improve.
This year with my fourth team, the Lake Norman Charter Knights?
I went ALL IN. 🧠💥
I made the success of this team my REASON.
And when something is your Reason, you don’t need motivation.
You don’t need “balance.”
You don’t make excuses. ❌
You just do the work. 🚀
We started offseason workouts in October. 🍂
We added strength training sessions. 🏋️♂️
I studied new drills. 📚
I built a better season-long schedule. 📆
I made time—even when I had none. ⏳
And the results?
✅ 15 school records shattered
✅ Dozens of personal and lifetime bests
✅ And I even think they had some fun along the way
But the real goal isn’t individual success; it was team success.
This season we had one final shot at the conference title before the league changes.
We were going for the three-peat. 🥇🥇🥇
On paper? We didn’t win. 🧾
Computer simulations said we were underdogs and would lose. 🐶
But I knew something the algorithms didn’t.
I wasn’t being reasonable—
Because I had a Reason. 🔥
And last week when the final points were tallied…
We did it. 🎉
Three straight boys team titles.
As I could barely sleep that night and was wiped out the next day, I knew every ounce of effort was worth it. 💯
What About You? 🤷♂️
I can’t tell you your Reason.
But I can challenge you to find and then BE the REASON. 🌟
Maybe your mission isn’t just to find your purpose—
Maybe it’s to be someone else’s.
15 Reasons to BE THE REASON 💡

you give them another day.
Another chance.
Another spark. ⚡
That’s how you as a coach change the world—one moment, one person, one reason at a time. 🌎
My New Reason? Writing. ✍️📖
Coaching may be one part of my purpose.
But another has always been writing.
Hemingway said, “Writers gotta write.”
And for me, that truth finally caught up.
Not just writing emails like this...
But writing something bigger.
Something bolder. 💥
Over the last few years, I wrote an action thriller called Bloodfeud. 🩸
It’s raw.
It’s real.
And it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.
But I had to do it.
It became a new Reason.
It pushed me.
It changed me. 🧠➡️🦁
Bloodfeud launches June 3 with a big publisher. 📅
And here’s my bigger REASON behind the REASON:
For every presale, I’ll be donating $1 in honor of my mom ❤️ to the American Cancer Society and Hope Lodge in NYC. 🎗️🏨. Because fighting for something bigger—that’s what Reasons are made of.
Here’s where you can order your copy for a great cause: https://www.amazon.com/Blood-Feud-Raising-Cain-Novel/dp/1648211380/
So… What’s Your Reason? 🤔
What gets you up early? ⏰
What keeps you up late? 🌙
Don’t ignore it.
Don’t wait on it.
Don’t waste it.
Because your Reason…
could be the reason someone else never gives up. 🙌
Find it. Live it. Be it. 🔥
