Referrals are the most common ways fitness studios get new clients. This is because they usually have a strong, existing, and loyal clientele base that loves to spread the word. In fact, it’s possible a personal trainer won’t have to do sales at all. Instead, a small gym or boutique fitness studio owner will prioritize your education first. Then, they’ll look for experience as a personal trainer and others. Always list your degrees first here.

For these resumes, if you’ve held fitness jobs before, put your personal training experience after your education. Then attach client testimonials or referral letters. Lastly, include skills and any other relevant information. These facilities will have a community and family feel. Therefore, characteristics related to sales are less necessary. But a skill that translates to the type of population the studio serves is important.
